BNP Paribas Personal Finance supports its employees during the Covid-19 crisis

In 2020, many companies were faced with the urgent issue of managing numerous organizational transformations in response to the COVID-19 pandemic which disrupted long-standing managerial practices, particularly with the widespread adoption of remote working.
Managers at BNP Paribas Personal Finance’s Corporate department, which provides training and support for Personal Finance departments, accelerated their coaching of managerial teams in France on key subjects which existed even before the pandemic, at the request of operational and local teams:
- The digital transformation
- Developing remote management
- Developing collective intelligence
- Supporting personal development
With its Ready to Learn initiative, BNP Paribas PF knows just how to motivate and engage its teams. Organized annually during the last two weeks of November, this event is an opportunity to showcase the support available to the company’s 6,000 employees in France.
The objective of the 2020 edition of Ready to Learn was to focus on four key areas of development:
- Providing tomorrow’s key skills with visibility
- Encouraging employees to challenge themselves and implement a development plan
- Promoting existing development solutions within the group
- Responding to the unprecedented situation caused by Covid-19
Information about this initiative was shared on the intranet, enabling participants to register for conferences, workshops, round tables and training courses.
BNP Paribas PF asked MoovOne to join its Ready to Learn initiative and provide coaching programmes for its employees.
The objective: to enable them to develop their skills via individual and group sessions, led by certified professional coaches, carried out remotely in an entirely digital setting.
The programmes, which lasted 3 sessions, in an individual or group format, focused on a wide range of clearly identified subjects to help participants deal with the pandemic:
- Making the best of the current situation
- Maintaining relationships while working remotely
- Providing vision and steps to follow amid uncertainty, explaining decisions
- Improving communication and team-work while working remotely
- Creating connections and encouraging performance
Between November 2020 and February 2021, almost 50 courses were launched and a total of 80 people were coached, both individually and in groups.
In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, these coaching programmes were particularly relevant and rewarding for participants, many of whom came away feeling more confident.
They were able to discuss subjects with their coach, develop a collaborative approach and identify operational responses to help them deal with the situation.
In addition, MoovOne and BNP Paribas PF have rolled out new and longer programmes to further develop participants’ skills (7 individual or 5 group sessions). The objective is to enable participants to focus on specific areas of development that they have identified with their managers.
In total, more than a hundred BNP Paribas PF employees will receive coaching from MoovOne over the next three years to help them unleash their full potential.
